Ngorongoro Crater
A true, natural wonder of the world, Ngorongoro was once a giant mountain before a volcanic eruption caused a 164km collapsed land mass, resulting in the world's largest crater. Considered one of the most beautiful wildlife havens left on earth, the Ngorongoro crater's vast amphitheatre is teeming with game. This famous world heritage site is home to an awe-inspiring array of creatures, from black maned lions, some of Africa's last black rhino, to countless flamingos causing the soda lakes to turn pink!
The Serengeti National Park
The internationally famous Serengeti National Park offers a safari experience of a lifetime. This is one of the few remaining game parks where wildlife roams in enormous herds. The Great Migration in the Serengeti is a phenomenon that is beyond description as some 2 million wildebeest and zebra migrate north-west across the vast plains during the dry season, returning to the southern Serengeti as the rains falls from December to March. These animals are relentlessly tracked by predators, often preying on the sick and weak as they migrate in a clockwise fashion each year between the Masai Mara in Kenya, and the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The spectacles of great herds of game attempting to cross the crocodile infested waters is a once in a life time opportunity.
Lake Manyara National Park
A place of unsurpassed and diverse beauty, Lake Manyara National Park is one of the most spectacular settings in Africa and comprises savannah grasslands on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. Two thirds of the park is dominated by the slightly alkaline Lake Manyara. Some special sights include the vast numbers of flamingos that flock to the lake every year, and the entire pride of tree climbing lions.
Zanzibar and Pemba Islands
For an exotic destination with an African feel, a laid back oasis of lazy days and tropical delights, a true jewel on the Indian Ocean, experience Zanzibar, the Spice Island. Old sailing dhows grace the waters surrounding this coral garden of Zanzibar, unspoilt palm fringed beaches stretch for miles along the coast of crystal turquoise waters. The Island is also home to exquisite equatorial forests, and the oldest part of the island, Stone town - a world heritage site characterised by its ornately carved wooden doors, narrow alleyways, and unique architecture combining Arabic, European and African influences. Zanzibar is situated just 35km off the Tanzanian coastline making it a perfect combination with an African safari.
